Shabby chic vintage inspired photo-shoot

Back in September we were invited by a new local wedding venue, Manor Farm Barn, to organise and co-ordinate a bridal photo-shoot. It was the perfect opportunity for us to work with a selection of our preferred suppliers – and what’s not to love about doing something creative and the opportunity to showcase some of our new bridal gowns

A shabby-chic vintage inspired theme with a boho twist was decided upon

We decided to photograph “Willa Rose” and “Lydia” by British designer Charlotte Balbier and “Hanoi” by Blue by Enzoani

Manor Farm Barn is located in Marsh Gibbon on the borders of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, a rustic barn perfect as a blank canvas to personalise and decorate to a Bride & Groom’s personal style and theme. The barn is situated next to the village church and have beautiful gardens to enjoy your drinks reception and photographs. Vikki is the wedding co-ordinator, although a new venue she has many years of experience in event management so is your perfect hostess to manage your big day. Not only will she assist at the planning stages she will also be on-hand on the day to oversee and ensure your special day goes perfectly

Hayley Ruth has a relaxed approach to her photography but her attention to detail is second to none ensuring that all involved suppliers were happy with the images. All flowers were provided by the lovely Bev at Scent with Love – Flowers & Beauty. We gave her free reign with the flowers as long as they were vintage and country garden-esque. The glass jars tied with lace and loose flowers were perfect. We absolutely fell in love with the hydrangeas decorating the bicycle and the statement silk bouquets looked striking against our ivory gowns

Our “We Love” hair & Make-up artist, Debbie Mac, displayed her talents for our mode’s hair & make-up. We tried several different looks throughout the day dependant on the style of the dress. Absolutely adore the braid with the flowers

Our only request for our cake-designer was to feature an aspect of metallic. Helen at Batch 17 Bakes, based in Bicester, followed our request and the images speak for themselves – the rustic autumnal styling works perfectly in the barn scenario

The table plan, menus, place cards and favours were provided by another of our “We Love” suppliers – the lovely Rosie at Orchards Cards. Rosie can pretty much turn her design hands to any theme or style although we particularly love her vintage lace detailing. For the full portfolio take a look at Rosie’s website.

As we were let down last minute by a local event company Rosie also supplied the “LOVE” “MR & MRS” & “Wedding Signs”
