Autumnal styled bridal photo-shoot

Last Monday I had the pleasure of working with some fabulous local wedding suppliers at a beautiful venue. It was the most perfect day of working with like-minded people in the bridal industry. Relaxed, fun, and the sun even came out to shine.

Stratton Court Barn is a fairly new wedding venue, based in Stratton Audley, deep in the Oxfordshire countryside. To couples looking for a barn-style wedding venue Stratton Court is a must-view. As you drive up the long driveway, lined with trees, and surrounded by fields you are in for a real treat. Karin, the wedding planner, and the owners Chris & Cathy were so warm and accommodating throughout the day and were kind enough to allow us to use their private gardens for a few pictures.The barn can accommodate 90 guests comfortably or up to 200 guests if you wish to incorporate a marquee.

All I can say is…… I want to live here!!

Our photographer extraordinaire was Hayley Ruth. Hayley has recently moved from Cambridge to Oxfordshire so I have only known her a short time. She kindly took some images of the boutique for our new website (work in progress) and I was suitably impressed. Hayley has a relaxed approach to her work and was keen to ensure that all suppliers involved had images they can use for promotional purposes. If she is such a perfectionist when working with suppliers I am 110% confident that couples who book Hayley for their special day will be thrilled with their wedding pictures. The hair stylist & make-up artist for the shoot was Debbie Mac. I have had the pleasure of working with Debbie on many occasions – catwalk, wedding fairs and photo-shoots. I cannot recommend Debbie highly enough and firmly believe that everyone needs a Debbie Mac in their life!! Debbie is based in Oxfordshire, has a beauty studio where she conducts hair & make-up trials but will travel to your home or wedding venue on your big day. Aside from being fabulous at what she does she is also a lovely lady to be around so will make you feel completely relaxed on your special day.

Our florist for the day was Nikki at Budd’s – Flowers by Design. This was my first experience of working with Nikki and boy this woman works! She didn’t stop all day…. From “bride’s” bouquets, table centrepiece display, cake decoration and floral crowns – Nikki is an extremely talented and creative florist happy to accommodate last minute requests to change certain details or an additional bouquet. It is obvious to me that Nikki will go the extra mile for her brides. She is based near Witney but covers Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and all surrounding areas.

The gorgeous model was a personal friend, May Hill. It’s hard to believe that May has 2 gorgeous girls as she has a figure to die for. Not to mention the most amazing hair that suited the autumnal theme perfectly.
